The 2008 Bonnes-Mares is another strikingly transparent wine in this vintage. The brilliant nose offers up a stunning m�lange of sappy black cherries, pomegranate, just a touch of blueberry, a great base of soil tones, gentle smokiness, floral tones and a discreet framing of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, very pure and perfectly balanced, with velvety tannins, tangy acids and stunning focus and grip on the very, very long, soil-driven finish.
